I am a die hard Buffalonian and love this city!! I used to hate it years ago because I didn't see all the great things about it. A lot of people that I've met can't believe I'm still here because I have a teaching degree and can go "anywhere" but honestly, there is nowhere else I would rather be. I want to travel the world but I will always come back here :) I go to grad school at Canisius college and love it!!! I have tons of amazing friends and the bellydancing in the city is great!! We have so much culture. I live in an area on the west side where I am surrounded by so many different people.....Italians, Arabs, Albanians, Somalians, Hispanics......it's amazing!!! The festivals are great, i have a great little one bedroom apt off Elmwood with tons of charm, my family is here, my dad's close by in Ellicottville.
ONe downside is the crazy budget the buffalo schools has messed up. I lost my teaching job this year but since I'm getting my degree in May in special ed, things will turn around. Buffalo is Awesome!!
