I'm looking at my crazy schedule & I think Saturday December 16th is the best night....
during the day from 3-6pm I'll be in studio at the store as usual...then the party will be from 7:30-10pm!
this is a FREE event for all the dancers in the community to come and hang out and take a break from the holiday chaos. we'll have food, open dancing, performances, & henna!
We fell WAY short on our goal for the family justice center's fundraiser, SO I am going to do a silent auction of gift baskets, we have items donated from the Bellydance superstars, Jim Boz & Sandstorm, UB Center for the Arts, and hopefully more b4 the date!
The FJC runs SOLELY on donations from the community and government programs(which don't really have much to offer) and there are threats of job cuts..ands right now, EVERY penny counts that we bring in! so please if you are able....help those who cannot help themselves! we will also be collecting toys, clothing & food for Haven house...
it would be a shame to lose such a great place that helps SO many vicitms of domestic violence & elderly abuse, sexual abuse and child neglect....
we house many agencies under one roof...and have several off site partners as well...
on site we have...the sex offense squad of the BPD, CPS, the DA office, legal aid of Buffalo/neighborhood legal services, hispanics united, the international institute, a chaplain & counseling program, UB Forensic scientists, crisis services, domestic violence advocates, child programs, haven house..and more...
If you are unable to attend & just wish to make a monetary donation, you can make the check out to The Family Justice Center of Erie County...we are non profit, so your donation is TAX DEDUCTIBLE!
we also need more donations for the auction, pls contact me if you are interested. I'll be pulling a bunch of hip scarves, accesories & and CD's off the shelf myself to make a few baskets...
